Rush Pro Pinball Machine by Stern – A Rock & Roll Pinball Experience

Bring the legendary sound of one of rock music’s most influential bands into your game room with the Rush Pro Pinball Machine by Stern. Designed around the music, imagery, and energy of the Canadian progressive rock band Rush, this modern Stern pinball machine combines fast-paced gameplay, immersive concert visuals, custom audio, and innovative mechanical features. Released in 2022, the Rush Pro is an exciting choice for music lovers, serious pinball players, collectors, and anyone looking for a premium Rush pinball machine for sale.

A Pinball Concert Under Glass

Stern describes Rush as a musical pinball adventure that lets players travel through time with the band. The game features 16 iconic Rush songs, including Tom Sawyer, 2112, Working Man, Freewill, Limelight, The Spirit of Radio, Headlong Flight, Far Cry, and Red Barchetta. Music is combined with synchronized sound and lighting effects to create the atmosphere of a live Rush performance directly on the playfield.

The experience is enhanced by exclusive Rush concert footage and custom animations displayed during gameplay. Custom speech from Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies adds another layer of authenticity, making the machine particularly appealing to longtime Rush fans.

Designed for Fast, Strategic Gameplay

The Stern Rush Pro pinball machine was designed by John Borg and uses Stern’s SPIKE 2 technology. It supports up to four players and features an LCD display, three flippers, three ramps, three bumpers, three drop targets, and multiple multiball modes.

Rather than relying solely on speed, Rush rewards players who learn the table and understand its objectives. Different shots activate songs, modes, locks, and scoring opportunities, creating a gameplay experience that becomes increasingly rewarding with practice.

The Time Machine Takes Center Stage

One of the signature features is the custom-sculpted electromagnetic Time Machine. Players shoot the ball into the Time Machine to progress through different musical adventures and work toward multiball opportunities based on Rush songs.

The Pro model incorporates a stationary ramp entrance with an illuminated floor, while the Premium and Limited Edition models add a motorized ramp system. The Pro therefore retains the core Time Machine gameplay while offering a streamlined configuration at a more accessible level within the Rush lineup.

Multiple Multiball Adventures

Rush Pro delivers plenty of action for players who enjoy multiball. The game includes three Time Machine multiball experiences inspired by Red Barchetta, Subdivisions, and Fly By Night, along with challenge and mini-wizard modes based on Cygnus X-1 and 2112.

The Pro model also features a secret stand-up target hidden behind three musical-instrument drop targets. Finding this target starts Freewill Multiball, rewarding players who explore the playfield and discover its less obvious objectives.

Iconic Rush Artwork and Presentation

The Rush Pro is designed to look as impressive as it plays. Its cabinet artwork draws inspiration from Rush’s visual identity, while the playfield incorporates recognizable imagery connected to the band’s music and science-fiction themes.

The Pro version features a Power Windows-inspired full-color translite and custom side-cabinet artwork created by artist Michael Barnard of Sunburn Designs. The combination of bold artwork, bright illumination, animated display graphics, and physical playfield mechanisms makes the machine an eye-catching centerpiece for a home arcade or entertainment room.

Stern Insider Connected

The Rush Pro also includes Stern Insider Connected, Stern’s digital platform for connecting players with their pinball machines and the wider pinball community. Players can track scores, earn achievements, and extend their experience beyond individual games.

For collectors and families, this technology adds a modern dimension to the traditional arcade experience and encourages continued play.

Built for the Home Arcade

The Rush Pro has a substantial but familiar full-size Stern cabinet. According to Stern’s technical documentation, the machine weighs approximately 210 lb (96 kg) and measures about 78 × 27.75 × 57 inches with the leg levelers extended.

Before purchasing, buyers should ensure adequate room for both the machine and comfortable player movement around it. International customers should also confirm the correct electrical configuration; Stern lists both North American 120V and international 240V versions, with the international specification supporting 50Hz and 60Hz operation.
