Black Knight: Sword of Rage Limited Edition Pinball Machine by Stern

Experience the thrill of battle with the Black Knight: Sword of Rage Limited Edition Pinball Machine by Stern, a premium collectible designed for serious pinball enthusiasts, collectors, and arcade-room owners. Combining classic Black Knight mythology with modern Stern Pinball technology, this limited-production machine delivers intense gameplay, dramatic artwork, powerful sound, and interactive mechanical features in one exceptional package. Stern originally introduced Black Knight: Sword of Rage in 2019 as the third game in the legendary Black Knight franchise.

A Rare Limited Edition Pinball Machine

Only 600 Black Knight: Sword of Rage Limited Edition machines were produced worldwide, making this Stern pinball machine particularly appealing to collectors seeking exclusivity. The Limited Edition builds upon the Premium model with a range of special upgrades and collectible details, including a sequentially numbered plaque, exclusive battle-themed cabinet artwork, custom art blades, and a custom autographed bottom arch.

The machine’s exclusive mirrored backglass and anti-reflection pinball glass further enhance its premium appearance. Whether displayed in a dedicated game room, home arcade, entertainment space, or private collection, the Black Knight Limited Edition makes a striking centerpiece.

Interactive Black Knight Gameplay

At the heart of the game is a custom-sculpted, interactive Black Knight bash toy. This centerpiece features a bi-directional motorized flail, an RGB-lit helmet with expressive lighting, custom speech, and a sliding coil-driven shield that can block and bash shots. These mechanical interactions make every game feel like a direct confrontation with the Black Knight.

Players also have access to Stern’s distinctive Magna-Save, a player-controlled magnet designed to help prevent an unfortunate ball drain. Timed-resetting drop targets add another layer of challenge, requiring players to combine precision, timing, and strategy.

Upper Playfield and Multiball Action

One of the biggest attractions of the Limited Edition is its transparent upper playfield. The elevated playfield includes a dedicated 3-ball lock mechanism and helps unlock the game’s exciting 6-ball multiball experience. The upper playfield also adds another dimension to the gameplay, giving experienced players more shots, objectives, and scoring opportunities to master.

The combination of multiple playfield levels, interactive targets, magnets, and mechanical toys creates the fast-paced experience Stern pinball is known for.

Premium Audio and Visual Technology

Black Knight: Sword of Rage combines medieval fantasy imagery with a high-energy rock-inspired soundtrack. The legacy sound package was composed and performed by Scott Ian of Anthrax with Brendon Small, while custom character speech includes the voice work of Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies.

Stern’s SPIKE electronics platform powers high-definition graphics and animations while supporting a high-fidelity three-channel audio system. The result is an immersive combination of flashing lights, dynamic sounds, mechanical action, and on-screen effects that keeps the game engaging from the first plunge to advanced multiball modes.
